FALL BALL 2023

 

Hamden Fathers will once again be offering Fall Ball for Baseball and Softball

THERE WILL BE IN-PERSON SIGNUPS FOR PLAYERS INTERESTED. 

THE SIGN UPS WILL BE HELD:

 

SUNDAY, JULY 30  at BASSETT FIELD SNACK BAR 10AM – 11AM

 

TUESDAY, AUGUST 1 at BASSETT FIELD SNACK BAR 6PM – 7PM

 

SATURDAY, AUGUST 5 at BASSETT FIELD SNACKBAR 10AM – 11AM

 

 SIGNUPS ARE RAIN OR SHINE

 

Evaluations for 12U and 10U Baseball will be held on:

 TUESSDAY, AUGUST 8, 2023 AT 6PM BASSETT FIELD

• All players will be placed on a team.  There will be as many teams at each group as we are able to make, based on sign up numbers.
• All Coach Pitch and TBall players will be assigned to a team or clinic and no evaluation needed

 

AGE/DIVISION BREAKDOWN (SEE BELOW):

BASEBALL;

Baseball TBall Clinic ($50) – for players that will be 5 or 6yrs old by 8/31/2024

Baseball Coach Pitch ($60) – for players that will be 7 or 8yrs old by 8/31/2024

Baseball 10U ($85) – for players that will be 9 or 10yrs olds by 8/31/2024

Baseball 12U ($125) – for players that will be 11 or 12yrs old by 8/31/2024

 

SOFTBALL;

Softball Coach Pitch ($75) for players that will be 7 or 8yrs old by 1/1/2024

Softball 10U ($100) for players that will be 9 or 10yrs olds by 1/1/2024

Softball 12U ($125) for players that will be 11 or 12yrs old by 1/1/2024

Softball 14U ($150) for players that will be 13 or 14yrs old by 1/1/2024

FAQ;

 IS THERE TRAVEL REQUIRED?  SOME, the 12 and 10u teams will play some games in neighboring towns.  Coach Pitch will be determined later but if there is travel, it will be limited.

 

WHAT AGE DO I SIGN MY CHILD UP FOR? Please use the 2023 HFBSA Fall Ball sign-up form to determine what age group your child falls into.

 

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE? Games are typically scheduled for weekends -- although there may be games during the week depending on the league. Expect games on Saturday and Sunday, with the possibility of doubleheaders. Games will likely start End of August/Start of September for most age groups. 

 

COACH PITCH & TBALL CLINICS WILL BE HELD AT BASSETT FIELD ON TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS, 6PM – 7PM.  RUNNING FROM  SEPT. 7 – OCT. 10

 

WHY ARE COST DIFFERENT FOR AGE LEVELS/BASEBALL/SOFTBALL? Each age group in baseball and softball play in different leagues and the cost to enter is different for each team.  Teams that use umpires also have different cost for umpires they use for each game.  Lastly, uniform and baseball/softball costs vary from team to team.
